Resource Directory Search Help

There are 3 ways to search the database and each search can be narrowed.

• Type in a keyword (a keyword can be a service you are looking for or a part of a name of an organization, as in a Goggle or Yahoo search)
  Note: Place a group of words that belong together within quotes ("child care", "hearing loss") to get a more exact search.
• Click on Keyword Search.
• You will get an entire list of all resources in the database that includes this keyword.
  Note: click on "city" or "provider" to sort the list.
• Narrow the search to a particular county by clicking on the county name in the green box on left.
  Note: links to statewide and nationwide are at the bottom of the county list.
• Click on a specific provider name to get detailed information and a link to the provider’s website, if available.

• Highlight desired county on county list.
Note:
1. Consider including surrounding counties or statewide to get a more comprehensive list.
2. To select multiple counties hold the Ctrl key in Windows, or the Apple key in Mac, while selecting/deselecting each county.
• Click County Search at bottom of list.
  Note: links to statewide and nationwide are at the bottom of the county list box.
• Click County/Statewide at bottom of list to include statewide providers in addition to the selected counties.
• You will get the entire list of providers for that county/counties or statewide/nationwide.
• Narrow the search to a particular service from the green box on left.
• Click on a specific provider name to get detailed information and a link to the provider’s website, if available.

• Click on desired service in green box to the left.
• You will get the entire list of all resources in the database for this service category.
• Narrow the search to a specific service by selecting the desired service within that category in the green box to the left.
• Now you can narrow the search to a particular county, statewide, or nationwide in the green box.
• Click on a specific provider name to get detailed information and a link to the provider’s website, if available.
