Mission
St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf is committed to listening and spoken language education, spiritual and emotional growth, and personal development of children who are deaf or hard of hearing, without discrimination, reflecting the values and traditions of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet.
Program Description
St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf is dedicated to helping Indiana’s children with hearing loss develop spoken language and literacy skills. Utilizing advanced technology, coupled with specialized therapy and education, the children we serve consistently meet and exceed appropriate language and educational milestones.

St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf offers a variety of Listening and Spoken Language programs for children who are deaf or hard of hearing and their families, including Early Intervention, a full-time preschool through second grade program, and ongoing consultation and therapy services for students attending their community schools. We also provide comprehensive educational and training opportunities for families and professionals.

Internet-based teletherapy services are available statewide.
