Program Description
Shriners Hospital for Children® -- Cincinnati specializes in pediatric plastic and reconstructive surgery and is a recognized leader in burn care. The hospital has a large pediatric plastic surgery program that treats and cares for a variety of congenital and traumatic conditions.

Some of these conditions include cleft lip and palate, congenital hairy nevus, brachial plexus injury, port wine stains, breast development in boys and girls, craniofacial conditions, and hidradenitis.

Cincinnati Shriners Hospitals provides reconstructive surgery and treatment for dog bites, friction burns, treadmill injuries trauma from power equipment, complex wounds, traumatic alopecia (hair loss), keloids and scars.

Complex skin and wound conditions are also treated at Cincinnati Shriners Hospital including Stevens Johnson Syndrome, TENS (toxic epidermal necrolysis) and necrotizing skin infections, including necrotizing fasciitis.

Shriners Hospitals for Children – Cincinnati accepts patients for treatment based solely on a child’s medical needs regardless of a family’s ability to pay. Generally, care is provided until age 18, although, in some cases, it may be extended to age 21.
