Mission
Paws With A Cause® enhances the independence and quality of life for people with disabilities nationally through custom-trained Assistance Dogs. PAWS® increases awareness of the rights and roles of Assistance Dog Teams through education and advocacy.
Program Description
If you would like to apply for an Assistance Dog, please go to our website (www.pawswithacause.org) between the dates of April 1 and June 30, to complete the application request form.
  • PAWS trains Service Dogs and Seizure Response Dogs for individuals with physical disabilities ages 12 and up.
  • Hearing Dogs are provided to adults only.
  • Service Dogs for Children with Autism are available to children ages 4-12, however an application is required by the child's 7th birthday. Applications for Service Dogs for Children with Autism are available to children up to age 7.
Financial
Our clients pay no fee to apply for or receive their Assistance Dog Partner. Our funding comes through donations from individuals, workplace campaign designations and grants.
