Mission
Edelweiss is a therapeutic riding center that provides safe horseback riding and horse driving opportunities for children and adults with physical, intellectual, emotional, behavioral, and social disabilities.
Program Description
Each rider participates once a week (or as often as they would like) in an hour long class that gives them the opportunity to groom and ride or drive their horse with instructor and volunteer supervision. Riding can begin at the age of 5 years old with a doctor's release and after our Medical Director has reviewed the forms.

Edelweiss is proud of their four-legged therapists. Each equine is tested and trained to handle the various disabilities it is faced with during the lessons.

Volunteer opportunities are available during class times. A person is required to be 14 years of age and attend a 3 hour volunteer orientation prior to working with a rider and their horse.
Financial
Not for profit classes are $40 per week. Edelweiss also relys heavily on corporate, individual, and foundation donations, as well as other grant funding opporunities.
