To provide support, information, and coordination world-wide to families and professionals in order to treat and care Alstrom Syndrome.

Program Description

Alstrom syndrome, an inherited disorder characterized by retinal degeneration with nystagmus and loss of vision, is associated with childhood obesity. Sensory neural hearing loss and diabetes mellitus are likely to develop in childhood.

Cardiomyopathy often occurs in infancy, adolescence, or adulthood. Other organs involved can be liver, lungs, and kidneys.
