Mission
The WIC Program provides nutrition counseling, supplemental foods, and referrals for needed services to eligible pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and children up to the age of 5 years.
Program Description

Eligible clients must meet income guidelines and must also have a nutritional or medical risk factor, which is assessed by a registered dietitian. Food packages are assigned according to individual needs and vouchers can be spent at participating grocery stores. Nutrition education activities are offered for parents and children.

WIC provides:

  • Nutrition classes and individual counseling
  • Foods high in nutritional value
  • Referrals to health and social service providers

Available to all eligible participants without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex or handicap.

WIC clinic sites are located throughout Indiana.
