Mission

To teach parents and people with disabilities the power of advocacy to change the way people with disabilities are supported, viewed, taught, live and work.

Program Description

Every other year the Partners in Policymaking Academy offers eight weekends of intensive training to a new class of 35 people with disabilities and family members. Partners is designed to educate participants to be active partners with those who make policy.

Partners curriculum utilizes national and state presenters and promotes the values of integration/ inclusion. Partners believe that all people with disabilities should be respected and contributing members of their communities.
