Program Description

Healthy Families in a voluntary home visiting program, children must be enrolled before the infant’s 3rd month of birth. A Family Support Worker assist families in caring for their baby and supports families in developing goals to meet personal needs, such as:

• Recognizing your baby's needs
• Caring for your baby's needs
• What to expect as your baby grows
• Making your home "baby safe"
• Encouraging normal development in your baby
• Budgeting and financing
• Transportation
• Effective discipline for your child
• Ways to continue your education
• Employment
• Community services

Financial

Services are free of charge, but families must have Social Security numbers and meet TANF income guidelines.
