A weekend Community Arts Class for youth with disabilities
What’s better than watching Saturday morning cartoons? CREATING Saturday morning cARToons! VSA Indiana is bringing back its Saturday morning Community Arts Class and you’re invited to attend!
The 8-week class will host 20 young students (ages 6-16) with disabilities ranging from physical disabilities, mild-moderate-severe cognitive disabilities, and autism. Each class will be 90 minutes in length and feature two art activities (clay and 2-D visual art) led by professional Teaching Artists. The class will draw inspiration from artists like Klimt, Matisse, and even our favorite Saturday morning entertainers, like Papa Smurf and Mickey Mouse! Parents are welcome to stay and assist students in the class or leave.
When: March 30th thru May 18th (Saturdays)
