Specialized Diets Seminar - March 27 - Jeffersonville 3/5/2010
Foundation for Biomedical Resources presents:
Specialized Diets Seminar
If you’ve found your way here, you’re no doubt familiar with the frustration, confusion and stress that accompanies the decision to change your diet. Whether you’re doing it to lose weight, get more energy, or in response to a medical diagnosis such as celiac disease or an autism spectrum disorder, doing it on your own is tough, and there’s a lot of misinformation out there!
What does gluten-free really mean? If something says dairy-free, does it mean I can eat it? What if it’s lactose-free, but contains casein? What is casein? Is buckwheat a form of wheat? What on earth is spelt? Does this mean I can’t have pasta anymore? Or cheesecake? And what kind of crazy people bake with garbanzo bean flour??
Come visit Jordana Van, chef and owner of Gluten-Free Casein-Free Kitchen. She will give a brief presentation about how to implement special diets, answer your questions and have a few samples to enjoy! Visit her website at www.gfcfkitchen.com.
When: March 27, 2010
9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Where: Life Span conference room located on the 3rd floor of the Floyd County YMCA.
Cost: $10.00
