Mission
At CDC we believe every person should have the opportunity to develop to their maximum potential. In partnership with the community, we provide progressive services and supports necessary to individuals with disabilities and their families which nurture their talents and skills toward becoming fully productive citizens.
Program Description

Services:

Community Living: Supporting personal, social and life skill development in varied training and community situations.

Employment: Offering agency-based vocational training and community employment. Special assistance for students with disabilities nearing completion of secondary education.

Housing: Sponsors HUD-subsidized apartment units in Monticello, Rensselaer, Flora and Kentland. Also have three area group homes.

Financial
Not-for-profit organization that also employes individuals with disabilities at two rest parks on I-65 as well as at thrift stores in Monticello and north of Rensselaer. County support enables us to meet unfunded or underfunded needs such as transportation or self-advocate initiatives.
