Join fellow advocates and professionals at the Indiana Governor’s Council for People with Disabilities annual conference. This year’s conference theme is “Independence: Achieving the Good Life with Choice and Support”.

This conference will explore the progress that has been made to ensure individuals with disabilities are able to exercise their right to make choices and to control the decisions in their lives and will also examine the many challenges that still exist. This right to self-determination includes decisions about where to live, decisions about work, and all the other daily decisions most adults make without a second thought.

HEAR from Senator Tom Harkin (Retired), author of the American's with Disabilities Act and lifetime champion of disability rights.

HEAR nationally recognized disability legal expert, Dr. Sue Gant, discuss her work as one of the nation's leading experts on abuse and neglect of people with disabilities and her role investigating the infamous Henry's Turkey Services case.
