Mission
The mission of the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association (ACPA) is to optimize outcomes for individuals with oral cleft and craniofacial conditions through education, support, research, advocacy, and interdisciplinary team care. The former Cleft Palate Foundation merged with ACPA in June 2017 and its important work now continues as ACPA Family Services.
Program Description
ACPA Family Services:
  • provides comprehensive information to educate patients, families, and professionals
  • makes referrals to cleft/craniofacial treatment teams
  • offers telephone and online support services, 1-800-24-CLEFT (800-242-5338)
  • educates parents and healthcare professionals on how to feed an infant with a cleft
  • funds research to learn all we can about prevention and care
  • provides Cleftline Teddy Bears with repaired cleft lips
  • advocates for family-centered team care
  • awards scholarships to healthcare professionals each year
  • awards college scholarships each year to young adults born with cleft or craniofacial conditions provides comprehensive information to educate patients, families, and professionals
