Program Description
"A Place To Be Me" programming by Children's Dispensary provides social and recreational activities to allow social interaction while children experience fun in music, creative arts, cooking, movement, and sports in the community.

Our programming is for children and young adults with Autism, Down Syndrome, ADD, ADHD, mild mental or emotional impairments and other cognitive disabilities. Programming is held weekdays after school and Saturday mornings. Typical activities encouraged by staff, and volunteers include; creative arts, culinary arts class, music, yoga, field games and board games, trampoline park, swimming, go karts and bowling at a local bowling alley. Staff and volunteers assist participants in becoming proficient in their skills to reach their individual best, while learning to function as a team player. Other activities include movies, field trips and summer day camp.
We receive NO government funding. Funding for our programs come from community donors, grants and individual donations as well as our own resources.
