Parent Liaison

Kelly ThompsonKelly Joined the ASK Team as a Parent Liaison in early 2019. Prior to joining ASK, Kelly worked in the non-profit sector in Development and Volunteer Management. However, her most important title is that of Mom. Kelly is mother to three children, two of which have special needs (Crohn’s Disease, Anaphylactic food allergies, Developmental delays and Learning disabilities). Kelly has experience in advising schools with regard to food allergy protocol, navigating First Steps, and the IEP and 504 processes, as well as managing the needs of a chronic medical concerns. She enjoys sharing her experiences with other parents, and learning from the Ask team as well. Kelly and her husband, Paul, enjoy keeping up with their three children.

Kelly received her Bachelor’s degrees in Communication and Political Science from Franklin College. She graduated with her Master’s in Public Administration in 2014 from Indiana State University. In her free time, Kelly enjoys volunteering, cooking, and traveling to fun, new places.

Kelly is passionate about advocating for children with special needs. She understands that when a child has special needs, the family does as well. She looks forward to serving other families in Indiana find the services, support and care they need in order to achieve the best possible outcome for the child, and their family.
