Participants Needed for Research Study on Genetics and Developmental Disabilities

A- A+
IU is conducting a research study that will look at foster parents’ knowledge and perceptions of genetic services for children with developmental disabilities. Many children with developmental disabilities get genetic testing and/or meet with a genetic counselor. Through this study, we hope to
learn how to improve education about genetics and genetic services to better meet the needs of foster parents.

Are you eligible?
  • Foster parent licensed in Indiana
  • Currently caring for a child with a developmental disability
    • The developmental disability must not be known to be due to a brain injury or fetal alcohol syndrome

Participation involves a single 20-minute online survey. Those who complete the survey will have the option to enter a raffle drawing for a chance to win one of ten $25 Amazon gift cards.
